The studio, founded in 2015 by Santiago Buendía, has from its inception engaged in the intersection between architecture and art installation, using these elements as channels to engage with different audiences. The practice operates across multiple scales, and hinges on transdisciplinary collaborations among people and organizations.
For this case, architecture is an act of observation, cooperation, curiosity and conscious repetition; where spatial intentions matter more than mere inventions. It is also a platform for speculation, dialogue and even error, making pedagogy the active agent in all design processes.
The studio uses research, design and conversations from Individual and collective experiences as points of departure, unfolding its complexity by balancing theoretical and material realizations side-by-side.
